ADVTE Awarded

Veraxx Engineering Corp.*, Chantilly, Va., is being awarded a $12,147,957 modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed-price contract (N61339-07-D-0002) for the design, implementation, test, and delivery of the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) Aviation Training Systems (ATS) aviation distributed virtual training environment. Work will be performed in New River, N.C., (25 percent); Cherry Point, N.C., (20 percent); Miramar, Calif., (15 percent); Camp Pendleton, Calif., (15 percent); Chantilly, Va., (10 percent); Beaufort, S.C., (5 percent); Yuma, Ariz., (5 percent); and Twenty-nine Palms, Calif., (5 percent), and is expected to be completed in March 2013. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division, Orlando, Fla., is the contracting activity.

Veraxx Awarded MV22 Cockpit Management System Part Task Trainers Contract

Veraxx Engineering Corporation was awarded a contract to provide MV22 Cockpit Management System Part Task Trainers (CMSPTT) to MCAS New River and MCAS Miramar. Each CMSPTT is made up of 12 individual stations. Each CMSPTT station simulates the operation of the aircraft Cockpit Management System and uses touch screens to display graphically the Cockpit Management System components and provide tactile student input. Each CMSPTT station runs the Vehicle Simulation and Instructor Operator Station software used on the MV22 CFTD trainers as well as providing a Simulated Instruments window that allows the control and display of the aircraft instruments not contained within the cockpit management system.

Veraxx Awarded Contract to Upgrade Miramar CH-53E WST

Veraxx Engineering Corporation was awarded a contract to upgrade the CH-53E Weapons System Trainer (WST) at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, CA. Upgrades include the following: Rehost to MACCE, Replace the Instructor Station Computer using the VIOS touchscreen IOS application, replace the Instructor Station CRT displays with NVG Flat Panel Displays, replace the Instructor Station switch console, integrate a new Image Generator, upgrade to APR-39(V)2 and AAR-47(V)2, and add an Enhanced Aircrew Externals Trainer.

Veraxx Completes Upgrade to CH-53D OFT

Veraxx Engineering Corporation completed an upgrade to the CH-53D Operational Flight Trainer (OFT) at Marine Corps Base Hawaii, Kaneohe, HI. The upgrade included the following: Replaced the Instructor Station Computer, replaced the Instructor Station CRT displays with NVG Flat Panel Displays, replaced the Instructor Station switch console, replaced Aural/ICS system, added a Tactical Environment Network (TEN), added APR-39(V)1, added AAR-47(V)2, added ALQ-157, and replaced the TACAN panel.
